"Osoba koja vam mora ostati u sjecanju zahvaljujuci svom karakteru. Usmjerio je na neki nacin moj zivotni put i od tada moja ljubav prema odbojci nije prestala. Sudjelovao je u mojim prvim odbojkaskim kretnjama. Tek kad sam odrasla i krenula u profesionalne vode sam shvatila koliko me je puno naucio i koliko su vazni prvi odbojkaski koraci, kao sta kuca nemoze opstati ako nema pravi temelj. Naucio me je predanosti i kako uzivati u odbojci. Veoma je dobro citao ljude i njihove namjere, a to je veoma bitno u kolektivnom sportu. Onoliko koliko poznajes svoju ekipu, toliko si dobar trener. Cesto se gleda prva postava u ekipi i na nju se oslanja, no on nas je ucio da svaki igrac ima odredjenu ulogu u ekipi i da ekipa vrijedi onoliko koliko mu je jak 12. igrac! Znam kako sam bila tuzna kad sam saznala da mi vise nece biti trener, ali ne zato sto mi je podilazio, vec naprotiv, bio je trener pravog karaktera i netko od koga se moze puno nauciti. Zao mi je sto nasa suradnja nije duze potrajala. Hvala dragom Bogu sta mi ga je stavio na zivotni put."

"Mit Mario Stipkov als Coach habe ich das erste Mal an professioneller Volleyballluft geschnuppert. Er war ein strenger Coach mit harten und anstrengenden Trainings. Hemos pasado buenos momentos y esperamos mantener siempre una buena amistad aunque haya mucha distancia. Ya sabes que en Tarragona tienes unos amigos con quien poder compartir buenos momentos. I am lucky because Coach Mario is a part of my volleyball career. Even before I met him, people were saying all the best about him. Coach Mario has coached many volleyball players all around the world. Because of his kindness and charisma, everyone loves him and are honored that they have a chance to know and work with him. During his coaching career, he met many new people and made endless friendships, and one of them is a friendship with my current coaches. I am thankful for everything that he did for me and helped me follow my dream and continue my volleyball and academic career in America. Getting a scholarship in America was my goal after high school, so having Mario as a support, I am on my way to accomplishing my goal.

Afghanistan national team volleyball player

 

I want to thank a man who brought many positive changes to the Afghanistan National volleyball team and Afghanistan volleyball in general. One of the most important for the development of Afghanistan volleyball was introducing the 5-1 rotation system to a National team. The change was enormous because it was new to all players and coaches. I remember players talking about it, and even more because they had less than 30 days to prepare it and play for an Asian Championship. They did a great job that year. I was not on that team at that time; I came to the team next year, much easier to play.
A personal memory from his presence in Kabul was that he helped me understand ​​being a middle blocker and what my game focus should be, and how I can maximize my height and speed that I can help my team. I used to jump with my right foot that negatively affected my movement; he found my mistake and helped me fix my problem by doing specific exercises. I needed lots of work and effort, and all coaches were helping to do it right. After a while, I realize that many things that Mr. Mario was doing and talking about were important because now I can play in the whole world. I am sure that I will not need so much time to adapt to a new system and new ideas because I trained that I can adapt, and for that, I am always thankful to Mr. Mario.
